Professor Hinkley was one of the people stranded on the deserted island with Nutmeg Vant. He was the island's resident genius. He created a makeshift scientific lab out of island materials and built a radio out of coconuts, but he couldn't fix a simple hole in the S.S. Sardine. Despite his academic prowess, many attempts for the group to get rescued over the years had failed.

Some gossips have said that he might not have wanted to be rescued from the island.  However, he wasn't always friendly with the other people on the island. Rumors have surfaced that there was a bit of strife among the group. Could he have had nefarious reasons for not wanting to be rescued?
